Six busloads of Coláiste na Toirbhirte voices rang out loud and clear in the National Basketball Arena, Tallaght yesterday as our U-19 team took on St Joseph’s of Mayo in the All Ireland Final. The arena was awash with red and navy, drums and bodhrans, mexican waves and booming voices as our girls battled fiercely on the basketball court. To say it was an exciting match would be an understatement. The point for point and rebound for rebound of the final 3 minutes was excruciating and, despite the gut wrenching outcome, we can all be proud of the passion, dedication and supreme efforts of the girls and their coach Mark Scannell.

This is a journey that is far from over!
